Superheroes a cultural catastrophe, says comics guru Alan Moore

Any time Alan Moore gets started in an interview, get the popcorn, because he’s going to go sideways. He’s talking about leaving public life (again) and who can blame him. But as a person who doesn’t have much interest in superheroes (especially since Marvel and DC keep releasing the same summer blockbuster over and over, just swapping in different main characters and changing out the fake CGI monsters) I found this quote amusing:

It looks to me very much like a significant section of the public, having given up on attempting to understand the reality they are actually living in, have instead reasoned that they might at least be able to comprehend the sprawling, meaningless, but at-least-still-finite ‘universes’ presented by DC or Marvel Comics.
